Vulcano, l’isola tra mito e leggenda
A poche centinaia di metri a sud di Lipari c’è la suggestiva isola di Vulcano.
Secondo la mitologia greca qui si trovavano le fucine di Efesto, dio del fuoco greco.
Il motivo è ovvio: si possono infatti osservare fumarole e getti di vapore in cima del vulcano attivo Fossa e sotto l’acqua del mare.
Vulcano crea tra l’isola e il visitatore un rapporto particolare, quasi ancestrale. L’isola di Vulcano è il luogo ideale per gli amanti del trekking, che potranno raggiungere la sommità del cratere per godere di un paesaggio impagabile (tempo permettendo!).
Poco distante dallo sbarco potete visitare la spiaggia delle sabbie nere.
Accettando i consigli delle nostre guide non resta che immergersi nelle calde acque termali e nei fanghi sulfurei o andare a fare semplicemente un bagno nel mare vicino ai bagni di fango.
Vulcano, the island between myths and legends
The picturesque island of Vulcano is located a few hundred meters south of Lipari.
According to the Greek mythology the volcano was the chimney of the forge of Hephaestus, the Greek god of fire.
The reason is obvious: you can in fact observe the sulfur steam columns, the Fumaroles, at the top of the active volcano Fossa and also coming up from the seabed. Vulcano creates a different, almost ancestral relationship between the island and the visitor.
It is an ideal place for hiking lovers who can reach the top of the crater to enjoy a stunning landscape (time permitting!).
Not far from the dock you can visit the famous black beach, Sabbie Nere. Or, following the advice of our guides, enjoy the hot thermal waters and take advantage of the therapeutic benefits of sulfur mud or simply take a bath in the sea nearby!

Ein paar hundert Meter südlich von Lipari liegt die malerische Insel Vulcano.
Der griechischen Mythologie nach, befand sich hier die Schmiede des Hephaistos, dem griechischen Feuergott.
Der Grund ist offensichtlich: man kann tatsächlich austretende Schwefeldampfsäulen, die Fumarolen, am Kraterrand des aktiven Vulkans Fossa und an der Meeresoberfläche beobachten.
Vulcano stellt eine besondere, auf vergangene Ahnen zurückgehende Beziehung zwischen der Insel und seinem Besucher her.
Es ist der ideale Ort für Trekking-Liebhaber, die, den Kraterrand einmal erreicht, eine atemberaubende Landschaft und Aussicht erleben (zeitabhängig!). Gleich in der Nähe des Hafens können Sie den berühmten schwarzen Strand, Sabbie Nere, besuchen.
